The perfect picture with Windows Live Photo Gallery
Get the perfect shot - Credit: mikebaird

The new "fuse" tool in Windows Live Photo Gallery means you don't have to take the perfect picture to make the perfect picture.

Have you ever taken a few group photos and in every shot someone is looking to the side, blinking or simply not smiling? No one picture is exactly the way you want it to be, but what if you could take the best parts of numerous photos and bring them together in the one perfect shot?

Download your photos into Windows Live Photo Gallery and you can create the perfect picture in seconds.

  • After downloading your photos in Photo Gallery, select the photos you want to fuse together.
  • Click create in the tab at the top.
  • Then click on the Photo Fuse button.

Once you've selected the best parts of each shot, Photo Gallery magically fuses them together.

Your new "perfect shot" is then saved in your gallery and is ready for you to either share (on Messenger or Facebook) or you can go and have some fun in Movie Maker.

Look for this update and many more over the coming weeks as we start delivering them to the Essentials suite.

Check out the short video below for a more visual tutorial. Happy snapping!

But really its not a legal 'picture' its an altered image. For as changed as it might be, for the authors purpose, its a phantasy image now, a fiction of the reality, therefore an phimage or an phicture. Except for its unverisimilitude, it'd be a handy tool.
